Deborah has worked as a clinician, educator, researcher and advocate in sexual and reproductive health and rights for 20 years. She is Medical Director of Family Planning NSW, Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney and Adjunct Professor at the Centre for Social Research in Health at UNSW. Deborah has previously served as the Global Medical Director for Marie Stopes International and is a past Chair of the Australasian Sexual Health Alliance. Her work focuses on equitable access to contraception and abortion care, cervical cancer screening and STI prevention and treatment. Deborah provides frequent media commentary on a range of sexual and reproductive health issues.
